Frequently Asked Questions
What are the advantages of leasing works of art?
- Financial Flexibility: You can enjoy exceptional, high-value works of art without a large initial investment.
- Tax Benefits: Receive potential tax benefits as rents can be deducted as a business expense.
How are the prices of monthly payments for leasing works of art set?
- The costs depend on the value of the work, the duration of the leasing contract, and any services included such as installation.
Can we buy the work after the leasing period?
- Yes, on ArtMajeur leasing contracts offer a purchase option at the end of the contract, allowing customers to acquire the work at a determined price (residual value).
How are the safety and insurance of works managed?
- Insurance during the duration of the rental contract is the responsibility of the customer. It is therefore important to check the details of your insurance contract to be sure that your leased works are covered in the event of damage.
What are the conditions for terminating the leasing contract before its end?
- Unless there are specific conditions, leasing contracts for works of art commit the client to payment of the entire price of the work; payments are therefore due until the end of the lease.

About the author
I completed a BA Fine Art (Hons) degree at Middlesex University in 1996. My work during the degree was a mixture of painting and film. After my degree I travelled, living in Sydney for six months and Los Angeles for four years, where I worked in film post production picture and sound editing departments.
Since returning to London in 2002, I have worked as a web and graphic designer, but also spend time each year painting at the Cyprus College of Art. I am currently producing new work from my studio in East London. My intentions are to exhibit my work and continue pursuing art as a career focus.
My portrait of Geoffrey Hawtin was recently shown as part of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists' Imaginitive Portraits Exhibition. I was also shortlisted for this year's Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.
---------------
I was born (1974) and raised in London. I’ve been interested in painting and drawing since childhood, and grew up in an environment where artistic activities were encouraged. My father and two uncles were professional photographers and my grandfather was Waldo Peirce, a well known American painter whose work has featured in collections such as the Metropolitan’s in New York. I grew up with paintings around and an early impression of art as a worthwhile activity.
