About the author
She was born in Authier in Abitibi, Quebec, Canada. From 1970 to 2005, she taught visual arts at the secondary level, while continuing professional training courses: Certificate in plastic arts, oil painting, pottery, enamels on copper, watercolor and pastel.
Since 1986, Christiane has devoted herself to pastel which she perfected with Canadian and American masters: Dave Beckett, Daniel Green, Ben Konis, Christina Debarry and Albert Handell.
Specialized in portrait, still life and landscape, she is elected by jury, First pastelist in Canada with the Pastel Society of Canada. She regularly participates in their annual events and these juried competitions have allowed her to exhibit, among other places, in New York, Florida, Santa Fe, Vancouver, Ottawa, Portugal, the Czech Republic of Quebec in Abitibi and Pons in France.
Several of his paintings are part of public collections: Fédération des Caisses populaire du Québec, the Fédération des Travailleurs du Québec, the Fondation de l'Université du Québec, Tembec forestry group and the major junior team (Les Foreurs)
She obtained several First Prizes during her career.
