Koen De Weerdt est un artiste français contemporain. Son parcours artistique a débuté dès son plus jeune âge, alors qu'il se sentait attiré par le charme captivant des paysages urbains. Sa fascination pour ce sujet l'a finalement amené à poursuivre des études formelles à l'Ecole Nationale des beaux-arts de Nancy, ou il a perfectionné ses compétences artistiques.
Pendant une partie importante de sa vie professionnelle, Koen s'est consacré au domaine de l'ingénierie et de l'expertise de la construction. Cependant, une puissante vocation pour le domaine de l'art l'a finalement rappelé aux plumes et pinceaux qui avaient façonné ses premières inspirations.
Son style artistique est marqué par son éclectisme, traversant un spectre qui s'étend du surréalisme au figuratif, et parfois à l'abstraction. Sa polyvalence artistique est particulièrement évidente dans ses dessins-collages, réalisés à partir de nombreux dessins à la plume et encre de Chine. Ces éléments sont ensuite méticuleusement découpés et réassemblés pour créer des compositions oniriques et surréalistes.
