Ma passion pour le dessin et la peinture remonte à mon enfance lorsque, écolier, je devais comme tous mes camarades, participer aux activités artistiques du samedi après-midi.
Plus tard, il a suffi d’un chevalet, de quelques tubes de peinture à l’huile et cartons toilés offerts par une de mes sœurs pour déclencher chez moi l’envie de pratiquer assidûment cet art. Mes premières toiles se limitaient à des reproductions de paysages et natures mortes avant de laisser libre cours à mon imagination.
Mon activité professionnelle m’a contraint à laisser de côté mes pinceaux plus souvent que je ne l’aurais désiré mais la retraite est arrivée et avec elle le temps de me consacrer pleinement à ma passion. La rencontre d’autres peintres et l’envie d’étendre mon univers artistique, m’ont donné l’envie de créer des œuvres abstraites alors que j’étais jusque-là plus orienté vers le figuratif.
