A 7 ans, je pratiquais la photographie avec mon père et mon frère; dans le labo N&B de mon père, j'étais responsable du fixateur ! J'ai peut-être reçu les gènes d'artistes de quelques membres de ma famille : ma grande tante Jeanne (soeur de ma grand-mère Lina Floch), installée à La Napoule, avait un atelier d’artiste avec la peintre reconnue, Michel-Marie Poullain. Mon grand oncle Josef Floch exposait à New York où il s’était installé après avoir démarré sa vie d’artiste à Vienne. D’autres artistes plus contemporains exercent aujourd’hui dans sa famille, comme Youssef Benjelloun dans la peinture, son frère dans la photographie.
Je n'ai pas suivi un chemin de l’artiste, car j'ai préféré choisir la voie de la sécurité après mon Bac : prépa scientifique à Janson de Sailly, puis école d’ingénieur en agroalimentaire et un Master of Science en Marketing et Management à Cranfield, UK. Aujourd'hui, ma vie me ramène sur le chemin de ma passion : l'art et la créativité.
Même si quelques membres de ma famille ont osé exprimer leur art, la plupart ont suivi des études de renom – Sciences Po, Yale, La Sorbonne, doctorants et ingénieurs. Je ne pouvais pas faire autrement que de suivre les bancs de ces écoles, même si l’école de photographie Louis Lumière à Paris la tentait grandement. Par contre, j'ai continué à pratiquer mon expression artistique durant ces années d'études en parcourant les rues de Paris avec mon appareil photo et en développant mes photos N&B dans le labo du Foyer des Lycéennes où je vivais dans mes premières années d'études à Paris. J'avais toujours mon appareil à la main en parcourant le monde, mon carnet de voyage toujours dans le sac… Après la photo, je me suis mise à l’aquarelle en 1992, puis au pastel et enfin à l’huile en 1999.L'Art fait résolument partie de ma vie et me nourrit dans chacun des mes parcours professionnels et personnels.
