Carlos Adaoude né et vit en Guyane, a appris à sculpter et tracer le Koti Tembe, avec son père et forme déjà une sixième génération de Tembeman. Il a aussi appris avec son aîné Franky Amete, qui a développé notamment le Tembe sur toile (Ferfi Tembe), dans les années 1990. Tous deux renouvellent une fois encore cette pratique traditionnelle le Tembe, et cette fois l’affranchissent de la symétrie, élargissent sa polychromie, le portent sur d’autres supports, l’insèrent dans le design, le frottent au numérique, le rendent monumental, le propulsent dans les galeries et les foires d’art contemporain, continuant à tracer au compas à pointe sèche leurs lignes de fuite.
