Fruit d’un harmonieux brassage de cultures européennes, Ludmila Dolgova-Ternano est née à Novossibirsk en Sibérie et a grandi à Saint Pétersbourg. Elle habite en France depuis 1991. Vivant dans la région toulousaine, elle y développe sa maîtrise de la peinture (huile et acrylique) dans un bel esprit de liberté impressionniste.
Cette diplômée de l'Académie d'art et d'industrie Stieglitz à Saint Pétersbourg trouve ses sources d’inspiration dans des scènes de la vie quotidienne contemporaine. Son approche des thèmes qu’elle choisit d’aborder rappelle volontiers les atmosphères des œuvres de Soutine, l’un des grands maîtres de la très cosmopolite « Ecole de Paris » qui a dominé le début du XX ème siècle européen.
