About the author
Marcin Filip Banasik is a contemporary Polish painter, composer, and writer. He began his artistic journey with contemporary music, but he started creating his first paintings – mainly abstract – as early as the late 1990s. In addition to drawings and paintings, he has written over a hundred poems, three novels, several short stories, and more than a hundred contemporary classical music pieces, which have been performed in many countries, including Canada, the United Kingdom, Denmark, the Czech Republic, and Poland.
In his work, three artistic disciplines intertwine – literature, music, and painting – word, sound, and light. This constant interpenetration makes art not only his profession but also a source of endless joy. In painting, he is primarily interested in the human being in cultural, civilizational, and social contexts.
Marcin Filip Banasik was born in 1982 in Poland. He first studied in Poznań and later obtained his PhD in the United Kingdom. He lived in Shanghai for over a decade, and in recent years, he has been working as an independent artist, creating in Poznań.
