1969 in Dortmund geboren, betätigte sich George von Klitzing als Sänger in verschiedenen Bands und schuf bereits in den 90er-Jahren erste Bilder und Skulpturen, bevor er im Jahr 2000 nach Hamburg zog.
2021 entdeckte er seine Leidenschaft für das Malen wieder – mit Fokus auf freie, abstrakte und zeitgenössische Kunst. Sein Motto lautet Freiheit & Abenteuer und so lässt er bei jedem Bild seinen Impulsen freien Lauf. Die Gemälde entstehen aus der Stimmung heraus, ein Pinsel kommt hierbei selten zum Einsatz. Bevorzugt werden stattdessen verschiedene Werkzeuge wie beispielsweise Spachtel, Autoreifen und Schuhsohlen.
„Ich habe nie geplant, ein Künstler zu werden, es hat sich einfach ergeben.
Die Farben trage ich intuitiv auf, Schicht um Schicht, bis ich instinktiv zu einem gewünschten Ergebnis komme. Ich möchte, dass jedes Werk den Abdruck meiner Geschichte trägt.
Jede Farbschicht fügt ein neues Kapitel hinzu und lädt zu einem Dialog mit der vorherigen ein, bis sich eine ganzheitliche Geschichte entfaltet. Am Ende erfreue ich mich daran, Menschen mit Farben zu überwältigen.“
