About the author
Natalia Nikitina was born on March 15, 1974 in the village where her parents spent their childhood. The village is called Velyka Pisarevka and is located in Sumy region in Ukraine. The artist's mother loved her parents' house and so she went there to give birth to her first child. A month after the birth parents returned to Kharkov and almost all my life Natalia lived in this city. When she was 5 years old, her neighbor's grandmother taught her to knit on needles and crochet - that's how she came into the world of fashion. At the age of 7 she was enrolled in a music school - her grandfather really wanted her to become a composer. At the age of 13 Natalia went to study at the Lyceum of Arts, where in addition to musical disciplines there were lessons in Art History. These lectures made an indelible impression on her and gave birth to an even greater love for Art. At the age of 20, the artist married and gave birth to a daughter. When the little girl was 2 years old, her mother took a course in Cutting and Sewing. Now she began to create clothes for her daughter, her friends and then for her clients. In 2003, the artist entered the "Institute of Fashion and Design" on the specialty "Fashion Designer" and the most important thing for her was to learn to draw. The desire to draw haunted her for many years. She drew dresses and skirts, tablecloths, decorative pillows and curtains, wallpaper and tiles for floors and walls. The thought of being able to draw pictures inspired her greatly. A world of symbolism and mind games opened up. A huge flood of ideas came flooding in - what shape the paintings were, what they could be covered with, how the pattern would fit the shape of the canvas, how prints for clothing, could decorate the walls and a host of other ideas for paintings.
In the work of the artist can be distinguished 2 big directions. - Pictures in the style of symbolism, which carry a deep philosophical meaning and paintings - jewelry.
Paintings-decoration, which are designed to decorate the house and bring joy from their contemplation.
Paintings - in the style of symbolism - paintings - reflections, paintings, reflecting on the problems and virtues of society and the individual, based on personal experience. Each painting is a little story, a tragedy or joy, sadness or opportunity, a little lesson showing how to become a better person.
To create vivid impressions from her paintings, the artist uses a variety of means, starting from the shape of canvases - triangular, diamond-shaped, hexagonal, with drawings extending beyond the canvas. She plays with the basis of her paintings - she paints on synthetic fabrics with a smooth surface or on plywood. Enhances visual effects with bas-relief and glitter, plastic and other modern materials.
