About the author
Golden Lady B, aka Aby Mbaye, is a multifaceted Franco-Senegalese artist. Passionate about writing and theater since a young age, she has devoted her life to live performance.
It was during her first trip to New York that she became passionate about the city, photography and poetry. It is this mixture which gives rise today to a photopoetic book "The New York Poets Book" which brings together his photos and public domain poems about New York. The book is scheduled to be released in September 2023.
Golden Lady B wishes to show through her work that emotion is something that can be shared and allows us to create a human connection. Through her photos, she tells a unique story and at the same time multiplied by the many looks that fall on it and the interpretations that everyone can make of it.
The photos are taken on the spot and are not reworked afterwards. This raw side gives the photo a pictorial aspect, as if the image wanted to return to painting for a saturated snapshot.
