Michael A. Craig is a contemporary British sculptor based in France. He has always found the act of artistic production to be fascinating and views it as a meaningful journey. To this purpose, he has experimented with a wide range of techniques and modes of expression throughout his life. The artist believes that his journey has come full circle and that he has now returned to the human figure, which served as the vehicle for his initial inspiration.
Michael A. Craig was born in 1968, in Scotland. He received a B.A. Hons in Fine Art Sculpture from Duncan of Jordanstone Art School in Dundee, Scotland, and a Master of Fine Arts from the New York Graduate School of Figurative Art in New York, USA. Craig‘s pieces have been permanently collected by the British Broadcasting Company Collection and the Perth & Kinross Museum and Art Gallery. He has had exhibitions of his works in the UK, the USA, and Romania.
