About the author
Michele Rene is an artist who creates both realistic and abstract images with an emphasis on the human figure. Having an interest in biology and fashion, her earlier works depicted female portraits mostly created from her mind's eye, known as her "imaginary friends." Her body of work has expanded to still-life pieces and abstracts but maintains a cohesive color palette ranging from soothing cyan, playful and fiery fuchsia, grounded with somber gold and minted olive. Michele has participated in solo and group shows in southern California, such as Gallery 23, Jag Gallery, Jones Gallery, Louise Hopkins Underwood Center for the Arts, Cape Fear Studios, Long Beach Creative Group (Rod Briggs Gallery), Metropolitan Design, Shockboxx Gallery, Hellada Gallery, MADE, Las Laguna Gallery, FYB Gallery, McClain's, The Hub and others. Michele Rene has been recognized in a number of art competitions across the United States. Her work is on permanent display at Hotel Maya, a Doubletree by Hilton Hotel.
