Nathalie Lemaitre is a contemporary award-winning French painter. Lemaitre examines topics such as the city, corridors, souls, mystery, and curiosities through multiple hidden messages. She works primarily with oils and collage on canvas.
She was already at the age of twenty spotted for her invented technique consisting of a collage of fragments of magazine papers on the canvas undergoing discoloration and receiving in the last step an application of oil paint. This results in a particular transparency qualified as a "stained glass effect". She immediately received her first prizes (all the Hurepoix prizes from her first participation, then the Young Painting prize at the Grand Palais) and made her first official sales.
