Featuring custom hand painted ceramic tile murals and paintings on tiles developed from your ideas and suggestions. Artist Julia Sweda has a passion for creating beautiful tile art that shows off unique and interesting facets of culture, tradition, native lifestyles and history. In her tile art reproductions she has emulated master artists such as da Vinci, Auguste Racinet, W.H. Pyne, Denis Diderot, and Bouguereau along with Ukiyoe masters Mitsuyoshi, Hiroshige, Utamaro, etc. Her paintings and portraits provide glimpses into bygone eras and lifestyles to modern day ethnic and cultural traditions.

Biography
Decorative tiles painting artist Julia Sweda primarily specializes in custom hand painted tiles, ceramic tile murals, tile paintings and painted tile backsplashes for kitchen and bath, but is also an accomplished porcelain painter/china painter and glass painting artist. She started her artistic career with four years of commercial art school in New Jersey and then went on to three years of school in Arizona to learn porcelain and china painting. In her undertakings to become a porcelain artist Julia saw opportunity to become involved with hand painted ceramic tiles, producing beautiful ceramic tile murals, painted tile backsplashes, tile paintings and decorative ceramic tiles. Glass painting and stained glass painting also captured Julia’s interest which led to classes and seminars for glass painting and stained glass artwork that includes medieval style stained glass painting. Julia has been painting professionally now for almost ten years but in total has been painting and doing other artistic endeavors for herself and friends for over twenty five years.

The main goal Julia tries to achieve with her artwork is to provide custom paintings and artwork to her customers that is personal and has real meaning to them. She welcomes and asks for their input and opinions so together they can develop artwork that is unique, her customers will be pleased with and will also enhance and add value to their home or business décor. "In painting and artwork, learning is an exciting ongoing experience as I endeavor to emulate the beautiful artwork of talented artists of the past and present for my own enjoyment and for those who would commission me to paint for them."
