"The beach of the pier" is a place apart, a haven of peace that I wanted to put on the canvas. In the distance is life, the movement of stars, the continent and its homes, everything seems so close and yet when you land on this beach you are already far from everything when the star of the island of Batz has left. I painted the tranquility of this place but I kept touches of paint with a knife so as not to forget the harshness of the marine environment. It is a painting rich in emotion that you will like to contemplate to escape from everyday life. What I highlighted here is the sense of peace pervading the place. However, being a seascape, it also features ragged rocks. I hinted at the roughness inherent in a sea view, by using a palette knife. This lovely emotional painting will provide a welcome means of escape from everyday life.
