TOMAAS, born in Hamburg, Germany, is a visual artist known for his surreal and emotional photographic work. After living in New York for 18 years, he established his studio in Montmartre, Paris, in 2014. His works, often dramatic and ethereal, are marked by a vibrant painterly quality and sophisticated photographic manipulation.
Inspired by masters of surrealism and romanticism such as Salvador Dalí, Giorgio De Chirico and Eugène Delacroix, TOMAAS creates iconic images that challenge traditional standards of beauty. His work fuses photographic techniques with visual art, offering an alternative vision of contemporary society.
His work has been widely published in international magazines such as Vogue Italia , W Magazine and Marie Claire . He has also exhibited in several galleries in New York and participated in prestigious exhibitions, including a group show at the Royal Monceau in Paris with David LaChapelle and Liu Bolin in 2017. The same year, he was invited to the Venice Biennale.
TOMAAS is represented by Art Photo Expo in Paris and Saatchi Art Gallery in Los Angeles. His commercial projects are supported by Robert Bacall Representatives in New York and Nitrox Photographers Management in Milan.
