Serenity blue
New series, new works.
These works around blue have a somewhat funny origin.
I have been used to working with a closed pallet for many years, and it has been fine with me so far.
But ... the time came when my ultramarine blue was no longer enough for me.
I took out my blue tubes of all brands and all horizon from their boxes and I started a color chart of some of them.
Color chart that I had never taken the time to do until now, and in which my interest in the thing is variable.
However, for the work ahead, I needed to do some. Seeing all these differents blues, their tones and their nuances so rich, such a protean color ... I found it beautiful.
The question arose: how to make this beauty and how to exploit it?
"Blue Portrait" is a simple direct transposition of my usual work, in which the colors are worked on the frequency of blue. I have found the capacity of blue, both in shadows and in lights, to be incredibly rich; both with a single shade and with dozens different.
"Ladybug" could be equated to pixel art, but that is objectively not the essence of this work, nor its objective.
If I had to define the work I did on this composition, I think I would define it as "squareism" (in reference to pointillism). Another work is in preparation that could perhaps be more meaningful ... It will come sooner or later.
Until then, see you soon!

Artworks to come !
Hi Artmajeur.
Little activity so far, but a lot in the works.
New artworks are coming.
Some are already visible on my website mausart.eu and others are to come here and elsewhere.
A new serie in preparation, new experiments and pictorial research.
I would update my social networks among other things, but all of this will take time.
Until then, see you soon!
PS: I made myself a new palette
Wood & glass. Black acrylic finish, varnish to come.
