About the artist:
José Carlos Santos (Carlinhos Müller) was born in Pinhão, a small city of Paraná, Brazil. Started his career at age 16, at newspaper Folha do Paraná, in Guarapuava. Right after, worked at Jornal do Vale, in Ourinhos; at Debate, in Santa Cruz do Rio Pardo; and at Folha Metropolitana de Guarulhos.
In São Paulo, acted at Folha de S. Paulo and at O Estado de S. Paulo, collaborating as well with Jornal da Tarde, Agência Estado
In partnership with Editora Belas Letras, he illustrated books of people such as Serginho Groisman, Tico Santa Cruz, Vitor e Léo and Eduardo Bueno (known as Peninha). In Brazil, he was pioneer in Pop-Up (3D) illustrations for the collection “Os maiores Times do Brasil”, including Corinthians, Flamengo, Vasco and Internacional, respectively, with writers Glória Alves, Carol De Barba, Marcelo Aramis and Gustavo Guerter.
Illustrated also Rolando Boldrin's book “História de Contar o Brasil – Um Carroção de Causos”, and Ary Toledo's “Os textículos de Ary Toledo – A anarquia da filosofia”.
