Gérard Basiletti
Gérard Basiletti was born in Burgundy-Free County (France) in 1947. In 1969 he took courses at the Famous Artists School. After lean years his painting is recognized and rewarded especially in 1980 at his first international art exhibition. The same year he met Salvador Dali for whom Gérard has the greatest admiration and his paintings are undoubtedly inspired by it. In 1982 he won a bronze medal at the New York Coliseum and was awarded with Arts and Letters in 1988. Over the years he develops his technique and creates a singular style. He died at 60 years old at the end of an artistic career from which were born over 2000 paintings.
Also a sculptor, two of his creations are visible in Montécheroux (in the center of the village) and Dijon (courtyard of the Hôtel de Frasans). To pay tribute to his work, the city of Fontaine-lès-Dijon gave the artist's name to the main room of the gallery La Source. Works by Gérard Basiletti are kept in the following places : Pliers Museum in Montécheroux (France) - Montécheroux town hall (France) - Gesellschaftshaus in Kirn (Germany) - Kirn town hall (Germany).

Une histoire d’amitié...
Ce livre est un aboutissement et un commencement aussi qui raconte avec pudeur Gérard Basiletti, artiste peintre. L’écriture fait découvrir un homme pris dans le dédale de la peinture. Les mots invitent au voyage contrôlé par ce que Zini veut bien dévoiler de ces moments partagés.
Comment parler de deux personnalités qui sillonnent hors des sentiers battus ? C’est au lecteur de juger.

Décès de Gérard Basiletti
Gérard Basiletti vient de quitter le monde de ses amis, et de ses admirateurs.
Gérard, l'artiste peintre, c'était une rencontre lointaine avec son maître Salvador Dali, c'était sa fascination pour Venise, son carnaval et ses personnages mystérieux derrière le masque... C'était encore de « belles créatures » nues en forme de poire et des poires en forme de femme... C'était par ailleurs le feu, la forge, le métal qu'on transforme. Dans une des petites forges d'antan, il a fait de nouveau retentir le marteau sur l'enclume. Sa contribution au sein des « Loups de Clémont » restera en mémoire.
Il laisse au village qui l'avait adopté, la sculpture, hommage aux forgerons, qui se trouve au milieu de la fontaine du centre. A la maison commune se trouve son tableau « Aux trois clochers », symbole de la cité.
Une dernière œuvre, consacrée à la « Pince » est appréciée par tous les visiteurs du musée local.
Venu, il y a plus d'une décennie de la région de Dijon, pour se « poser » à Montécheroux, Gérard Basiletti retourne en Bourgogne où ses obsèques se déroulent aujourd'hui.

Dans le cadre de la sauvegarde du patrimoine culturel en Bourgogne initiée en 1989 par la DRAC de Bourgogne, nous partons à la découverte des œuvres hallucinantes du peintre bourguignon Gérard Basiletti qui qualifie son style comme étant de l'onirisme multidimensionnel. Exposition Gérard BASILETTI
Gérard Basiletti se définit comme peintre de l’onirisme multidimensionnel. Il aime mêler les différents plans, le dedans du dehors, le vrai du faux, le conscient de l’inconscient. Il ne peint que la nuit, dans son atelier installé dans le Haut-Doubs, un choix de vie tout récent. Natif d’Is-sur-Tille, il a longtemps travaillé à Dijon et à Fontaine. Sa technique du glacis en couches superposées lui permet de révéler la transparence des êtres, des objets, souvent nimbés de lueurs bleutées comme dans un rêve. Le tout baigne dans une atmosphère de douceur légère à laquelle tient beaucoup l’artiste. Dans certaines de ses compositions il a mêlé à la peinture de la poudre fine de pierre ponce, les reliefs apparaissent, des formes, sésame vers d’autres univers. Cet autodidacte, qui à l’âge de 20 ans a décidé de perfectionner sa technique en suivant des cours à Amsterdam, vit de sa peinture depuis une quinzaine d’années. Après l’Allemagne, il vise Dublin et Londres. Galerie de la Source à Fontaine-lès-Dijon jusqu’au 9 novembre.

L’exposition des peintures de Basiletti à Dijon
Pour sa part, la Galerie Darcy à Dijon a mis ses cimaises au service d’un réaliste lui-même saisi par le symbolisme et le fantastique. Il s’agit de Gérard Basiletti qui nous propose là sa production la plus récente, celle où il s’est renouvelé en conservant sa même écriture précise, solidement dessinée, aux jeux de lumières et d’ombres subtilement fondues. La nouveauté de cet autodidacte se situe cette année dans ses thèmes, des récits qui sont autant de constats des contraintes actuelles. La palette de Basiletti elle aussi a évolué, donnant au cheminement de ce peintre une dynamique à mesurer jusqu’au 31 décembre tous les jours sauf le mardi passage Darcy à Dijon.

Parfois porteur d'un message, parfois tout simplement un événement gratuit, l'élément représenté ne peut laisser indifférent. Gérard a conscience du caractère polysémique de ses images. Par conséquent, il laisse aux spectateurs une totale liberté d'interprétation. Cette ambiguïté attise la curiosité.

L'atelier de l'artiste
CIMAISES Gérard Basiletti
Gérard Basiletti peint dans une figuration précise, entre surréalisme et vision poétisée. Ses personnages, aux portraits à la fois expressifs et intemporels, évoluent dans un univers idéal, à la fois lointain et familier, entre bal masqué et vision onirique. Le côté italianisant et renaissance de l'ensemble est très marqué, confortant l'impression de décalage existant entre le style, la plastique, et la poésie propre à toute oeuvre d'inspiration surréaliste. Une grande toile, qui résume fort bien la ville à travers quelques symboles forts, est dédiée à Mulhouse et tranche dans le contexte général de la thématique. Le caractère très original de l'inspiration, sa belle exécution font l'intérêt de cette exposition, au demeurant très variée. Une peinture bien construite au service d'une imagination peu banale.

Les trompe-l'oeil de Gérard Basiletti
La galerie du Vieux Belfort, 8, place de la Grande Fontaine à Belfort propose une exposition des oeuvres de Gérard Basiletti du 7 au 29 mars. Les oeuvres de l'artiste, avant 1980, ne sont réalisées qu'à la lumière de son atelier donnant une empreinte particulière à sa palette de couleurs. Au fil des années, son art se confirme et il trouve dans l'onirisme multidimensionel un moyen d'exprimer sans limite ses inspirations fantasmagoriques où la femme est souvent mise en scène, tout comme les personnages de la Comedia dell'Arte déroutants dans leur jeu de masques « carnavalesques », des jeux de matières, de trompe-l'oeil laissant le doute optique à celui ou celle qui entre dans sa dimension.

Les fantasmagories de Gérard Basiletti
Malgré un bref passage par l'école des Beaux Arts de Dijon, puis une formation de trois ans à l'Ecole d'Amsterdam, Gérard Basiletti se dit volontiers autodidacte de formation. Son style est à tendance surréaliste, mais de forme classique.
Il expose au Grenier jusqu'au dimanche 12 mai inclus.
Artiste à succès, né à Is-sur-Tille en 1947, a déjà vendu un peu plus de 3 000 de ses œuvres -et la première à l'âge de 7 ans-, tant en France qu'à l'étranger, œuvres dont certaines trônent dans des musées de renom tels celui des Beaux Arts de Dijon ou encore celui de Kirn en Allemagne.
Fan de Bruegel, admirateur de Dali, Gérard Basiletti transcrit sur toiles sa vision du monde, onirique, fantastique, mystérieux, dans lequel des femmes lascives et des paysages fantasmagoriques exaltent l'imagination.
