This picture is the only one I have painted entirely from photography. I thought about painting a portrait of Helios for some time, he's very cute. I was thinking over different versions of compositions for his portrait, when Ekaterina shared in her blog photos of the backstage process, where Helios was involved. It seemed excessive to me to invent something when there is already a work of art. I just repeated Ekaterina's picture with great pleasure.
