In this piece from the “Apples” series, the fruit is revealed as something living, bodily, almost floral. Powerful strokes resembling petals converge into a dense swirl — pulsating with life at its core. Deep burgundy, wine red, cream, and green tones evoke the ripeness, the richness of flavor, and the fleeting moment of full presence.
