Cette peinture est une interprétation personnelle d'une légende sacrée (Jukurrpa) qui reprend les codes du pointillisme dans l'art aborigène.

Le dieu créateur, Jindoo (le soleil), envoie deux hommes-esprits, les Woddee Gooth-tha-rra, de l’extrémité de la Voie Lactée sur la Terre Yulbrada pour créer les collines, les vallées, les lacs et les océans. Une fois leur travail terminé, Jindoo envoie les Sept Sœurs, chacune étoile de la Voie Lactée, pour embellir la Terre avec des fleurs, des arbres et des animaux.
Tandis que les sœurs sont occupées à créer les fourmis à miel, elles ont soif et la plus jeune sœur est envoyée chercher de l'eau. Les deux hommes-esprits qui se cachent à proximité la suivent et se présentent à elle.
La plus jeune sœur ne revient pas auprès de ses sœurs, qui partent alors à sa recherche. Elles la trouvent avec les deux hommes-esprits et la plus jeune sœur leur dit qu’elle est tombée amoureuse de ces hommes. Jindoo a averti les sœurs que si une telle chose devait arriver, la personne tombée amoureuse ne pourrait pas retourner dans la Voie Lactée. En conséquence, les six autres sœurs repartent pour la Voie Lactée et la plus jeune sœur reste sur la Terre avec les hommes-esprits.
Les pouvoirs spéciaux des hommes-esprits leur sont enlevés et ils deviennent les premiers mortels. Ces mortels créent les règles selon lesquelles les Hommes doivent vivre, et leur union avec la plus jeune sœur donne naissance au premier peuple aborigène. Les Wong-gu-tha croient que tous les gens de leur peuple sont des descendants des deux hommes-esprits et de la plus jeune sœur, et c’est pourquoi les étoiles jouent un rôle central dans leurs croyances culturelles.

This painting is a personal interpretation of a sacred legend (Jukurrpa) using the codes of dot-painting in aboriginal art.

The creator god, Jindoo (the sun), sends two Spirit Men, Woddee Gooth-tha-rra, from the far end of the Milky Way down to the Earth Yulbrada to create the hills, valleys, lakes, and oceans. Once they have finished their work, Jindoo sends the Seven Sisters (each a star in the Milky Way) to beautify the Earth with flowers, trees, and animals.
As the sisters are busy creating honey-ants, they become thirsty, and the youngest sister is sent to find water. The two Spirit Men, in hiding nearby, follow her, and introduce themselves to her.
The youngest sister does not return to the other sisters, and so they go in search of her. They find her with the Spirit Men, and she tells them that she has fallen in love with the men. Jindoo has warned the sisters that if such a thing were to happen, the person who fell in love would be unable to return to the Milky Way. As a result, the other six sisters leave for the Milky Way and the youngest sister remains on the Earth with the Spirit Men.
The special powers of the Spirit Men are taken away from them, and they become the first mortals. These mortals create the rules by which men must live, and their union with the youngest sister creates the first indigenous people. The Wong-gu-tha believe that all of their people are descended from the two Spirit Men and the youngest sister, and thus the stars play a central role in their cultural beliefs.
