born in southern Bavaria, studied journalism and Psychology at the Universities of Regensburg and Munich first, changed to art studies at Hochschule der Künste HdK / UbK Berlin, finished with a Master of Fine Arts Degree in painting, drawing, installation in 1992. Followed by exhibitions and art residencies in France and Spain, teaching art, writing poetry. In 2002 started writing art critics and book reviews for german public radio, features about art and travelling, sound pieces.

drawing, painting and writing (as well as photography) are different aspects and medias of expression in my artistic research on light and color, gesture and sign, line and surface, structure and pattern, text and texture, oscilliating between chaos and form, imagination, fact and narration, intuition and analysis in space and time of the world we live -
