The work of the outstanding master of sculpture - SHEVCHUK Dmitry. Bronze, author's artistic casting.
Author's handiwork - the author himself prepares the figure of wax, applies a clay layer, then - melted wax. Only then pours the metal. After, the author makes the final touches and the figure is ready. The whole process, from the sketch to the finished figurine takes about 3 weeks. So, the master can create though a little, but very original, funny and beautiful sculptures.
Familiar to everyone plots are presented in a new, unusual presentation and decorated with the author's humor. Series “Satire as Art of life” has won the hearts of many collectors around the world. Creativity by Dmitry Shevchuk is represented in many private collections in Ukraine, USA, Italy, Germany and Poland.

SHEVCHUK Dmitriy - was born in 1964 in Kiev (Ukraine). Artist and sculptor works in his own workshop in the Kiev region. In 1991 he graduated from the Kiev Art-Industrial School (now Kiev State Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts and Design named after M. Boichuk). After studying he was engaged in manufacturing of master-models (sculptures of small forms) for manufacturing firms both in Ukraine and abroad (Italy, USA).
Particular recognition of the author received after the release of the author's series of sculptures - "Satire as the art of life. This is an ironic series of caricatures, which turns the viewer to the philosophy of everyday life and encourages us to look at everyday things through the prism of the author's humor.
Until today, about 30 stories have been created (edition each of them up to 10 copies). Although the series is small, but the sculptor manages to create quite exclusive, original, funny and beautiful sculptures.

Ucrânia

Dmitry Shevchuk, um artista ucraniano contemporâneo conhecido por seu domínio da caricatura irônica e das esculturas humorísticas, descobriu sua paixão por modelar figuras a partir da plasticina durante a infância. Este fascínio inicial abriu o caminho para a sua jornada artística, levando-o a prosseguir a educação formal na Escola de Arte-Industrial de Kiev (agora Instituto Estatal de Artes Aplicadas e Decorativas e Design de Kiev, em homenagem a M. Boichuk), onde se formou em 1991.

Após a formatura, Dmitry mergulhou no ramo da manufatura, especializando-se na elaboração de modelos mestres, ou pequenas esculturas, para diversas empresas na Ucrânia e no exterior, incluindo Itália e EUA.

Em 2010, Dmitry embarcou em um novo empreendimento artístico com o início de sua própria série intitulada "Sátira como Arte da Vida". Esta série é composta por estatuetas de bronze, cada uma com até 20 cm de altura, confeccionadas no gênero da caricatura irônica. Feito à mão pelo próprio artista, cada obra é produzida em edições limitadas de até 10 exemplares. A série serve como uma exploração lúdica dos aspectos mundanos da vida cotidiana, convidando os espectadores a contemplar o comum através das lentes únicas de humor e sátira de Dmitry.

Através das suas criações extravagantes, Dmitry Shevchuk oferece uma nova perspectiva sobre as rotinas e banalidades da vida moderna, encorajando o público a encontrar diversão e compreensão no aparentemente mundano. Suas obras despertam o riso e a contemplação, transformando o comum em expressões extraordinárias de inteligência artística e criatividade.
