The size of the painting is 27x19.5 inches | 70x50 centimeters.
The painting is one-of-a-kind, hand-signed on the front and backside of the canvas.
The painting "The Girl in a Shirt" is one of the paintings series "Her".
The artwork is painted in oil on canvas with wide textured strokes of a brush and a palette knife. In the work, we can see the opposition of a gentle female image and deliberately careless aggressive rough strokes of paint. The artist plays of black and white hard contrast against delicate pastel colors. The girl depicted in the painting feels constrained by external conditions, which prevents this painting from having an erotic value. The girl nervously tries to unbutton her shirt in order to get more air and freedom. Her pose is not balanced, which shows even more uncertainty and indecision. That's why this artwork is considered rather dramatic.
This series of works consists of female images in impressionist style. The faces of the women in the paintings are hidden. We do not know if they are beautiful. We are imagining the image. The series of works "Her" consists of contradictions and oscillation. It contrasts the real with the fictitious, the imaginary with the real, black with white, the cold street and the warm house, the plasticity of the female body and the geometry behind her, color and monochrome.

Leah Larisa Bunshaft @Dizlarka was born in Ukraine, spent her youth in Russia. Later she emigrated to Israel and currently works in Barcelona (Spain).
She holds an MA from the Arts and Construction Department in The Novgorod State University. Leah`s post-graduate studies include advanced courses in graphic design, photography, art history, psychology and creativity, artistic strategizing programs.
Trauma received in childhood, youth in the 90's in Russia and changes of countries influenced the choice of themes of the artist. A key theme in Leah's artworks is the vulnerability of the fragile human being in this insecure world. She explores her own vulnerability in the ever-changing conditions of contemporary reality, issues of femininity, women's life, feminism and self-identity. She is also fascinated by the theme of time, the cycles of life and death, change in the process of time, and the complex relationship between humans and time.
Her work begins with the idea she wants to figuratively convey to the viewer and the feelings she wants to evoke by doing so. From this she chooses one of the many mediums she works with: painting, drawing, collage, sculpture, digital art, embroidery, monotype, graphics, hand prints and mixed media techniques.
Leah participated in solo and group exhibitions. Her artworks are included in private collections in the USA, Canada, Russia, Israel, Spain, Japan, Germany, Denmark.
