Didier Hagege

didier hagege was born in 1961 in Paris , France . He started to work in henry Goetz s workshop in the early 80's . In 1982 he left for Italie, where he won the VILLA MEDICIS extra-mural Price Hagege was established in Pietrasanta for over 12 years , where he mastered the art of sculpture and set his own workshop. there , he painted and workrd on engraving together with artist from the wold over
He rapidly understood that traveling was essential to his creativity and inspiration . He worked in the robert Stern studio in NEW YORK and criss-crossed through West Africa .In 1992 he retourned to Paris .He left for Marseille in 2000 when his son was born in 2000
DIDIER HAGEGE's influences are made of different ambiences, of multiculturalism, of familiar smells and new encounter. He blends between a color rich Mediterranean expression and the sanctification of the object as a spiritual reminder
