Alain Wankwini, geboren 1993 in Bamenda im Nordwesten Kameruns, lebt und arbeitet derzeit in Yaoundé. Schon in seiner Kindheit entwickelte Alain eine Leidenschaft für das Zeichnen, die er während seines gesamten Studiums pflegte. Nach seinem Abitur am Cameroon College of Art Science and Technology (CCAST) in Bambili setzte er sein Studium der bildenden Kunst und Kunstgeschichte an der Universität Yaoundé I fort, wo er 2018 einen Abschluss erhielt.
Im Jahr 2020 schloss Alain eine Ausbildung im Siebdruck in Yaoundé ab und bereicherte so sein technisches Know-how. Sein künstlerischer Werdegang ist geprägt von der Teilnahme an namhaften Ausstellungen, wie den Artistic and Cultural Days (JAC), die von der Artistic and Cultural Promotion Association (APAC) in Ngoumou organisiert werden, sowie Gruppenausstellungen im berühmten Mozartviertel.
