Jim Fischer ist ein zeitgenössischer Künstler aus Jersey City. Fischer war Autodidakt und begann seine künstlerische Laufbahn im Alter von sieben Jahren. Er stellte seine Werke zum ersten Mal im Flur seiner Grundschule aus und beeindruckte andere mit seinem Verständnis davon, wie der Himmel auf die Erde trifft.
Im Laufe der Jahre hat Fischer eine Vielzahl künstlerischer Epochen und Stile erkundet. In seinen frühen Arbeiten konzentrierte er sich auf „Junk Art“, also die Schaffung von Skulpturen aus gefundenen Objekten. Später wandte er sich Stillleben in Pastell und Aquarell, gegenständlichen Gemälden des Alltags und Kopien von Meisterwerken zu. Sein Schaffen hat sich seitdem um experimentelle Bildkunst, Bleiglas, Mosaike, Möbeldesign und -bau, Gartendesign und Innenarchitektur erweitert.
Fischer widmet sich weiterhin einer breiten Palette von Disziplinen und lässt sich dabei von der Inspiration des Augenblicks leiten. Er ist fest davon überzeugt, dass er etwas erreichen kann, wenn ein anderer Mensch es auch kann.
