Seit 25 Jahren erzählt seine Arbeit Geschichten aus dem Leben, durch erlebte oder gesehene Szenen, gehörte Worte, Fragmente von Nachrichten, aber auch aus der Fantasie stammend.Er verwendet verschiedene Techniken, neben der Fotografie, verwendet er Collagen aus Bildern und Wörtern aus Zeitschriften , neu fotografiert und gedruckt, aber auch Assemblagen, die als Gemälde präsentiert werden, darunter verschiedene Objekte in kleinen Kästen, sehr oft mit meinen Fotografien und seinen Texten versehen, einige auch dreidimensional verkleinert und auf Sockeln ausgestellt.
Bernard Lapeña lebt und arbeitet in Carcassonne / Montlegun in Südfrankreich. Seine Arbeiten sind in vielen Privatsammlungen vertreten.
