Solitude
In the silence of winter's sweeping white,
where a blizzard swirls, an untold plight.
Hoarse voices whisper, memories ember,
frozen roofs bear witness, hearts remember.
A seagull circles, a lonely plea,
lost in the echoes, will you find me?
I shout to you, though unheard it seems,
my words carried away like fleeting dreams.
I warmed your soul through winter's cold,
but in the chill, my story's untold.
No time for reciprocity,
your warmth eludes, a lost affinity.
How many times have I forgotten you?
Yet, your presence lingers, steadfast and true.
A blizzard swirls, a tempest of emotion,
as if the world echoes our silent devotion.
I knock on windows, unseen, unheard,
a soul left longing, like a caged bird.
You, the curator of my silent cries,
unseen gestures in winter's disguise.
In the dance of snowflakes, a subtle plea,
unravel the storm, set emotions free.
For in this winter's tale, love's refrain,
resides a yearning that lingers, yet in vain.
