Lost
In this world, a gate unfolds to a myriad of deserts,
Silent echoes of solitude, where the cold wind flirts.
Whosoever, like you, has forfeited what was dear,
Stands amidst the vastness, where sorrows appear.
A thousand deserts, each a tale untold,
Where whispered memories and dreams unfold.
In the quietude, the heartache takes its hold,
Onward, the wanderer, with a story to be retold.
Lost is the echo of laughter once so near,
In the silence, courage starts to appear.
For whoever endured what your heart did bear,
Finds a path in desolation, a testament to dare.
Through the cold expanse, where shadows play,
Those like you, find strength to sway.
No destination, for the journey, is the cost,
In this world of deserts, the heart is lost.
Grief may be silent like the sands unfold,
Yet within, a resilience, a tale to be told.
For in the vastness of loss, a spirit takes flight,
A journey of the heart, where hope meets the night.
