Daniel Pielucha - Polish Surrealism Born in 1959 in Wieluń. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, where in 1985 he received his diploma at the Faculty of Graphic Arts in Katowice. The type of easel painting practiced by the artist is called "POLISH SUPERREALISM". In his works, the painter, following the example of his great predecessors, looks for the features which prove the uniqueness of our culture. With great respect for the technique and history of Polish painting he emphasizes its unique character. He finds inspiration in the landscape of our province, which is passing away, therefore he willingly participates in the most important open airs of figurative art. The folklore of the Polish countryside, beliefs and customs are the scenery of his painting visions, in which the author expresses his attitude to the contemporary world and the existence of another human being. The painter presented his works at solo exhibitions in Katowice, Oświęcim, Częstochowa, Głogówek, Szczyrk, Warsaw, Sieradz, Gniezno, Zielona Góra, Gorlice and Ilawa. He represented Polish art at group exhibitions in Berlin, Stockholm, New York and Mexico.
