David Alvarado was born in Costa Rica 27-10-1958. He studies painting in the Faculty of Fine Arts of Universidad de Costa Rica whereas, in Montreal, he studies Fashion Design. It is also in Montreal where he started developing his talent for painting. Later, in the renowned ITHQ he obtains a Certificate in French Cuisine.

Alvarado places the woman as a central element in his work. Her majestic beauty, the fascinating tenderness, the legionary strength, the unfathomable complexity, the abyssal depth of her heart; are all traits that fascinate the artist and touch his soul. Such admiration strikes the viewer at first glance and it is the life of the painter that passes before his/her eyes. These women whom he knew, he felt, he has imagined, he has dreamed out, come out his work to bring faith to those who contemplate them.

Recently, themes such as the fragility of life, reproduction and the deep desire for sustainability of the human species are addressed in his work; Alvarado managed - with a sensitivity rarely seen - to combine the subjects with high philosophical aspects with concerns as current as the protection of our environment of our extraordinary planet.
Spirituality permeates the artistic process of Alvarado. The search for God in thyself, the search for thyself through God, but above all, the wonders of The Creation, before humanity in front of others, in front of thyself is so intense, so vibrant, so smooth that pierced by harmony and light, the viewer barely turns to look and move away.

David Alvarado Mora est né au Costa Rica. Il fait ses études de peinture à la Faculté de Beaux Arts d’ Universidad de Costa Rica. Plus tard, à Montréal, il réalise des études en dessin de mode et développé son talent
pour la peinture. Récemment, étudie au prestigieux ITHQ pour obtenir son diplôme en cuisine française.
Alvarado place la Femme au cœur de ses œuvres. Sa beauté majestueuse, sa fascinante tendresse, sa force légionnaire, son insondable complexité, la profondeur abyssale de son cœur sont autant de traits qui fascinent l’artiste, qui touchent son âme. Une telle admiration frappe le spectateur au premier regard et c’est la vie du peintre qui défile devant ses yeux. Ces femmes, qu’il a connues, qu’il a senties, qu’il a imaginées, dont il a rêvé, sortent de l’œuvre et viennent à leur tour redonner la foi à ceux qui les contemplent.
D’autres thèmes, plus récents, tels que la fragilité de la vie, la reproduction et le désir profond de pérennité de l’espèce humaine sont abordés dans son œuvre. Le peintre Alvarado réussit avec une sensibilité rarement vue à conjuguer ces sujets philosophiques majeurs aux préoccupations actuelles comme la protection de notre environnement et de notre extraordinaire planète.
La spiritualité imprègne la démarche artistique d’Alvarado. La recherche de Dieu à travers soi-même, la recherche de soi à travers Dieu, mais surtout, l’émerveillement devant la création, devant le Créateur, devant l’hu...
