I bought a book that celebrated these artists, and spoke about one of their iconic pieces from their portfolio. Using the pages of that same book, I have decided to pry into their souls, by painting just their eyes, as it’s the windows to their soul. By desire is that you can see what you seek in these eyes. It was a huge challenge to get to know what these artists look like, fortunately some documented snapshots of themselves through self portrait, this helped during detailed research and case studies. Only a few didn’t yield results, and I decided to swap with other old masters that weren’t featured in the book.
