Claudia Hagn

I am a trained graphic textile designer and technician for jacquard fabrics. That means that, by profession, I create high-quality and elegant fabrics for the international industry for the home sector. To do this, I travelled to many exciting countries, such as Africa, Syria, China, India, etc., which has broadened my horizons enormously.

I have been painting and designing since I was a child. In 2008, I finally put a crown on my creative endeavours by developing my own fabric collection, which of course was also used to make high-quality products. The collection was successfully sold in the German-speaking market and also gained popularity through television.

The line was called ‘Created in Hell’ and embodied art in fabric. I also published a small book in connection with it, which is a metaphor for life. It tells the story of a little cat that wanders through hell and meets its soul there, in the form of a beautiful ball.
So I used textiles as a form of artistic expression to tell a story about life. A story that affects us all!

I built this sphere as a sculpture and also painted the painting to go with it.

In general, I love depth and a little attention to detail, which you can often see in my work or read about in my books. But when I have to, I can also be different. However, this has to do with my professionalism in my job. I do what is desired and not what I feel like doing. :)

I also use CAD to technically implement the fabric designs I create for industry for the giant Jacquard machines. To do this, I have rare expertise in weaving techniques and special software.

And if I still have some time left over, besides all the creativity for others and contemplation for myself, I paint bright (predominantly) floral motifs on silk. On top of that, I have launched a charity marketing project for stray dogs (Style Dog). I design artistic motifs from real dogs and use them to decorate products so that the dogs are seen and hopefully adopted.
