This work inaugurates the "Ombra" series, inspired by Jung's psychoanalytic theory on the archetype of the Shadow. A fascinating theme that required numerous readings and insights.
A characteristic feature of my work is the use of recycled materials, with particular reference to paper, the basic element for collage. For this work I used an old recycled wooden panel, which immediately inspired me for its many imperfections (irregular and fragmented edges, lesions, small holes, irregular corners) that refer to the idea of ​​fragility, a concept dear to me. As far as possible, I decided to leave this "lived" aspect unchanged, and I repaired with paper sprigs, exclusively the lesions that prevented the painting and collage process.
The concept of imperfection permeates all my work, which is based on an analysis of the psychological and intimate themes of the human being.
In this work, the theme of imperfection is amplified by the use of small pieces of old fabric, whose fraying is visible in the collage.

Psychology and  imperfection of human beings are the central themes of her artistic research. Her work focuses on the relationship between conceptual essence and symbol, and the result is a clear and synthetic narration.

The use of vibrant colors and bold contrasts, alongside the mélange of various media (acrylic, pastels, graphite, monotype, collage) enable the artist to create a complex world where reality coexists with metaphorical elements, the surreal and psychological; a world that can be interpreted in a variety of levels. The papers and supports used are often scraps, leftovers, old packaging. Chiara composes complex textures, stratified through an impulsive and necessary gesture that is accomplished in the use of collage. The imperfection of the sign underlines this urgency.
