Ceramica Lagrand

Portugal has a long tradition of producing hand painted ceramic tile panels Our studio in Monte Canelas is a former horse stable which has the space to lay out the raw glazed ceramic tiles on which we paint. After painting the tiles are fired in our electric kiln to 1020 degree Celsius. The garden walls at Quinta Velha serve as outside exhibits of ceramic tile murals by Venessa Lagrand and tiles painted by visiting artists
