Celso Prei

My name is Celso Pereira (Celso Prei - stage name), am a young 27 year old was born in Queen's Vineyard, Soure county, district of Coimbra. I am a finalist for the Degree of Art and Design at the School of Education of Coimbra, who has attended since 2008. I was born into a humble family and economically deprived and had a normal childhood until age 12. At that time I had a serious road traffic accident: I was hit while crossing the street after exiting a bus. I was there three days in a coma with a head injury that caused me a brain neuron disease: a psychosis or psychotic disorder, with time and with medication has been controlled.
I've been bullied since I had the accident until I was 20 years. During that time, and being a teenager outside the "normal" because of my illness, I isolated myself from everyone and everything and I took refuge in writing, painting, drawing. I consider myself an intelligent person, and since 2008 I have done several projects, particularly in the field described above, and the arts.
In January 2008, rode my first major exhibition at Hotel D. Luis in Coimbra, having joined that same year, in September, the School of Education of Coimbra, after a period of outpatient treatment to acquire social and personal skills. In November edition published in author's book "Mysterious Enchantment - Iara Moon." The following year I published also in an author's edition, the book of poetry "Expressive Eyes." In May 2010 I was invited by the organizers of the Cultural Week of ESEC, doing a painting exhibition, which was evident in the illustrious hall Alice Gouveia, I conducted a live painting. In 2010, the month of November, I published my latest work, which will present the program, "The Moon of Iara," stamped by the publisher of Word Place, which was already presented in Fnac stores and Bertrand. More recently, in March 2011, mounted an exhibition of paintings at the individual School of Education of Coimbra. Already made reports about the latest book published, and exhibitions of painting, in RTP2 ESECTV program, and outreach in the Soure Popular Radio and newspapers: The Borders, and The Diary of Coimbra Popular Soure. In 2011 I participated as a volunteer in Fiarte - Arteuropa (International Fair of Fine Arts of Coimbra), also works exhibited two paintings. In addition, I have had the recognition and affection of people, as an example of self-determination, courage and fight, which makes me feel like going.
