“Lockdown” is a stretched canvas painting of a view of Hyde Park in New York during the lockdown. The artist wanted to stage the feeling of confinement experienced by the population during the Covid-19 pandemic by revealing a grid over a panorama of the New York megalopolis. In order to raise a note of hope, Camille Tagini represented the buildings with bright colors, reminiscent of the flower fields in spring. The contrast between city and countryside offers a contemplative and poetic whole of one of the most restless cities in the world.
