*Cafer Tabak was born in Kaşanlı village, Afşin, Kahramanmaraş, in 1956.
*He graduated from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Veysel Günay Workshop, in 1994.
*He has been keeping on his studies in his studio since 1980, and his first exhibition was held in Afşin, together with Sefa Arı, in May,1984.
*Between the years 1987-1989, he worked together with İsmail Altınok, Vural Yurdakul, and Kayıhan Keskinok.
*He took part in the Board of Directors of the Museum of Painting and Sculpture in Ankara for a year.
*In 1995, he was accepted to 27th DYO and 56th State exhibitions.
*In 1996, he was accepted to Habitat 2 Ankara exhibition.
*By the year 1996, he decided not to participate in competitive exhibitions
*In December 1998, before coming together, the members of 59th State exhibition jury, decided on whom the award to be given, and the decision was confirmed by the notary. When the award was given to that person, he protested the ceremony, handing out the copies of the notary confirmation, in the presence of the Minister of Culture.
*He has works in collections of the Ministry of Culture, in several collections at home, as well as abroad.
*He is a member of International Plastic Arts Association. He took part in several group exhibitions.
*Since 1994, he has been training children, hobby groups, and candidate students for prep exams of faculties of Fine Arts.

Cafer TABAK
- 1956 yılında Kahramanmaraş’ın Afşin ilçesinin Kaşanlı köyünde doğdu.
- 1989’da Ankara’da dışardan bitirme sınavları ile liseden mezun olan Tabak,
- 1990’da Hacettepe Üniversitesi, Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi, Resim Bölümüne girdi.
- 1994 yılında Veysel Günay Atölyesinden mezun oldu.
- 1980 yılından beri kendi atölyesinde serbest olarak çalışmalarını sürdürmekte olan Cafer Tabak, ilk sergisini mayıs 1984’te Sefa Arı ile birlikte Afşin, Kahramanmaraş’ta açtı.
- 1987-1989 yılları arasında İsmail Altınok, Vural Yurdakul ve Kayıhan Keskinok ile birlikte çalıştı.
- 1989’da Ankara Resim-Heykel Müzesi Derneğinin yönetim kurulunda bir yıl görev aldı.
