His works - rich, colorful, intertwined with deep subtext, reflect the same vivid nature of the artist, his infinite love of nature and homeland. An unusual person with an unusual worldview, similar to a wise man (magician), he looked at things through the eyes of a scientist - he studied and remembered everything: “young and old”. Without letting go of the phone, he traveled for months to villages and steppes, collecting in his collection the achievements of Ukrainian culture (towels, jugs, paintings, household items, clothes ...). Exploring the world around him, the artist did not just see the finished external beauty, he looked at the structure of the internal, internal form, which is why his paintings have a special peculiar style of writing.
Most of all, the artist loved freedom, so his whole career lay through self-knowledge and his own discoveries in the field of not only painting, but also the perception of his personal world. Padun came up with all his finds and unusual tricks for himself, relying on his own experience and unique vision. And he constantly shared them with the world. Being sociable and open to nature in nature, it was important to transfer this knowledge to others so that people could see and understand the world around them from the artistic side.

  Падун Володимир Макарович (25 червня 1942, с. Плавні, Запорізька область — 21 вересня 2016, Дніпро, Дніпропетровська область) — український художник - живописець, член Національної спілки художників України і митець з великої літери. За своє життя він встиг неабияк змінити погляди своїх сучасників на мистецтво, виховати в них нові почуття, показати з середини всю красу оточуючого нас світу. Його твори – насичені, барвисті, наскрізь переплетені глибоким підтекстом, віддзеркалювали в собі таку ж яскраву натуру художника, його нескінченну любов до природи та батьківщини. Незвичайна людина з надзвичайним світоглядом, що уподібнювався до погляду мудреця (волхва), він дивився на речі очима науковця – вивчаючи та запам’ятовуючи все: «від малого до великого». Не випускаючи з рук сопілки він місяцями подорожував по селах та степах, збираючи в свою колекцію здобутки української культури (рушники, глечики, розписи, предмети побуту, одяг…) Досліджуючи навколишній світ, митець не просто бачив готову зовнішню красу, він вдивлявся в іі структуру, внутрішню форму, від цього в його картинах присутній особливий своєрідний стиль письма.
Більш за все художник любив свободу, тому весь його творчий шлях лежав крізь самопізнання та власні відкриття в галузі не тільки живопису, а й особистого світосприйняття. Всі свої висновки та незвичайні техніки виконання Падун винайшов для себе сам, опираючись на власний досвід та унікальне бачення. І він постійно ділився ними зі світом.
Виховавши не одне покоління студентів і написавши не один десяток робіт В.М. Падун зробив безсмертний вклад в українську культуру. Його внесок відіб’ється на нашій історії не лише зараз, а й роками по тому, коли одне покоління змінить інше – а знання, що були посаджені ним, – проростуть, і будуть давати все нові й нові плоди.
