“VIEJO CASINO DE RIVAS,#NICARAGUA” acuarela/ papel de 150 grs 30x43cm. "OLD SOCIAL CLUB FROM RIVAS, # NICARAGUA" watercolor / paper of 150 grs 30x43cm.

According to the textual reference of the prestigious Nicaraguan historian Manfut, (Rivas) he states:
"This social center of great prestige in the country and for the city of Rivas, was founded at the end of the year 1894.
Its Statutes were approved in a governmental agreement of December 9 of that year and it was solemnly inaugurated on December 31 of that same ...
and later add

... Rivas has from very old, just fame and reputation for the distinction of its social environment, in the different social layers. Its inhabitants enjoy a reputation and exquisite education and culture. As social centers, the city has the "Casino de Rivas" or Social Club; the "Casa del Maestro" and the "Casa del Obrero" .... "
The façade of this center, as shown in the painting, is what it had before its remodeling until the end of the 60s of the last century.
That old architectural style with its balustraded wall, its roof -including zinc- shows the colonial touch typical of the Spanish stately hacienda and that in our opinion expresses the ideo cultural inheritance of the old rivense oligarchy in this city.
Later this façade acquired a more "modern and capricious" touch until the Sandinista Revolution of 1979 took the building for public function. After this, the building has gone through a series of public and private owners with their corresponding renovations.
The painting, charges for all the above, a heritage value and class in our course as a town.
This work has been worked using a palette of cold colors fundamentally, Viridiana green, bladder, ultramarine blue and cobalt with warm colors like the crímson, orange of cadmium and ocher united with neutral ink.
