Part of the 'Surreal Fishions' series - a collection of wry observations on the global food industry. Digitally modified fish suppers for our unnitritional age which took nearly twenty years to prepare! The picture of the sardine can was taken on good, old-fashioned film in the UK in the early nineties and the rather sad-looking fish were 'captured' digitally in Thailand in 2011. The two images were happily married in a computer in the same year and are still together.

The edition is limited to 250 signed and numbered prints on Fuji's beautiful Crystal Archive paper.

The image area allows for a generous 1" white border on all sides of the image for easy framing.

Art Grafts is the commercial alter-ego of English fine art photographer Dominic Rouse who has been described as one of the most interesting photographers working today.   He is a visionary in the truest sense of the word and his work probably has more in common with painting than photography.   Brooks Jensen, the editor of America's LensWork Magazine, has said that Rouse does not take pictures of the world, he makes photographs of his mind.   His unique vision and mastery of his craft set him apart from most of the other photographers who use the computer in their practice.   His work may appear to be rooted in the past but it is the product of a seamless blend of the latest digital technologies and the timeless qualities of large format photography.
