Blue Water Lily (2021) 绘画 由 Ara Lamnis

This painting represents a bud of the Blue Water Lily, majestically placed on its floating leaves, growing in one place in the world, on the dark waters of the Nile.

The buds open in the morning at dawn and close at dusk, being similar in Egyptian mythology to the sun, a symbol of dawn.
There are subtle bright iridescences when moving the painting at various angles, which give the viewer the feeling of the sun shining on the Lotus Flower.

For this painting were used: canvas of the best quality, professional acrylic colours, knife painting technique, impasto and brush, modelling paste for 3D effect of the water, a triple layer of transparent gloss varnish was applied to protect the painting from external factors, 4 cm painted profile, which allows the display of the painting without framing, pinewood chassis.

A variety of particularly beautiful colours have been used in various shades of blue, especially Prussian blue and golden sand.
