Anthony Abdel Karim
Anthony Abdel Karim is a Lebanese psychologist, artist, author, and cultural mediator and educator who graduated from Saint Joseph University in Beirut. He places great importance on education. In 2019, he founded CAPL, a cultural organization dedicated to promoting the arts, culture, education and mental health.
His commitment to bridging culture and psychology is evident throughout his multifaceted career. In November 2019, he published his book Qu'avons-nous fait de l'art?, and in November 2022, he was invited to speak at the Oxford Union during the Michaelmas Term.
In 2017, he held his first solo exhibition Au Bord du rêve, followed in 2018 by Un soupçon de Nature. Today, he manages the CAPL Center in Achrafieh a space devoted to art, culture, and education. Through CAPL’s Clinic, he also addresses mental health issues within a cultural framework.
Anthony regularly contributes to articles and research in the fields of culture, art, and psychology. His work reflects not only his artistic practice but also his deep commitment to integrating the arts with mental health and contemporary cultural issues.
