Original artwork description
The fox as a totem animal was revered by almost all peoples of the globe. She can transfer her skill to anyone connected to her energy. Magic and cunning have been associated with the fox since ancient times. Probably, it came from the fact that the time when the Fox goes hunting - morning and evening twilight - is called in Magic the period of "between time", it is at this time that the world of people is closest to the world of Magic. Many peoples believed that the Fox could lead to the Magical World, as it lives in forests, which were also associated with magic. The fox is an animal with the magic number 9.
The Slavs immediately associated it with two elements of nature: earth and fire. The Celts believed that the fox had special wisdom, as it was well oriented in the forests, so they entrusted it with the leadership of the spiritual world. Full of cunning, cheerfulness and intelligence, the fox has unbridled power. She loves adventure. For the Celts, the Fox personified energy, expression. In Japan, the fox is one of the patrons of the spirits of rain and the messenger of the god of rice - Inari. The fox also symbolizes the fight against evil and longevity. Chinese Foxes can transform into any person, but never into animals or objects. Chinese philosophy explains this by the fact that the essence of the Fox's transformations lies in the realization of wisdom and the achievement of immortality.
There is a Chinese proverb: "Where there is no fox, there cannot be a village", which indicates that the fox is a symbol of good luck in Chinese culture. The fox in China has also become a recognized symbol of longevity, according to legend, after reaching the age of fifty, the fox can turn into a woman, after reaching a hundred years - into a young girl, and after a thousand years, it can take the form of both women and men, becoming a heavenly fox - tien-hu. The Finns have a superstition about foxes rubbing their skins against the ice and creating the Northern Lights, and as a result they call them fox fires even today.
And what emotions does the contemplation of this incredibly beautiful animal evoke in you?

My name is Anna Shabalova and I`m full-time and independent professional artist from Ukraine. In many of my works, you will find kind of surreal stories filled with positive imagery, vibrant colors, and unexpected details, in which my personal view of such a rich world around us is reflected. With the help of different images in my paintings, I conduct a dialogue with the audience, often touch upon important social topics, but I speak in positive key. That`s why customers like to participate in such dialogues so much. I consider myself a multi-dimensional artist as my primary painting style is surrealistic. Now I am currently working on several series of paintings at the same time, and also making prints from the originals of my works. Every day I look around me, and I find many subjects for my works. Often, nature inspires me: I like to take, as a basis for my paintings, the elements of flora and fauna, the images that seemed to us so familiar, and fill them with a completely different meaning! I know that I always have something to tell people, and with the help of my art, I create my own picture of the world. My artworks are found in private collections in the USA, Israel, Europe, and Ukraine. Among my works, customers will find that special painting that will perfectly decorate their interior.
