The Cockapoo is made from high fire ceramics and the use of various glazes which is surrounded by handmade as well as glass tiles. The knobs are hand painted ceramic that securely hold leashes, hats etc. I curled his copper wire whiskers to add to his whimsy look, and hand painted his eyes to increase the intensity of his stare. I also added a metal dog tag with a glass charm embedded in the middle.
As with all my creations, this is a handmade, signed, one-of-a-kind leash holder that can be copied, but not duplicated. Each piece is lovingly hand formed, mosaics pieces are individually hand-cut, meticulously arranged, and the glazes are applied with three to six coats to achieve the best color enhancement.
Size: 18" L X 9" W X 7.5" H

I like to see the world as a Saturday morning cartoon, says ceramic artist Suzanne Noll, with cute little characters making us smile, laugh and enjoying the day while still teaching us a valuable lesson by the end of the show. It is my practice to use animals or nature as a subject that I transform into the whimsical world I envision.
Noll was born in Anaheim, California in 1964 where she accredits her parents as the driving force in nurturing her creativity. Her artistic mother, Stella, introduced Suzanne to the wonders of water colors, oil paintings as well as having a keen eye for home décor. David, her adept father taught her the art of creating with your hands as she watched him construct wooden furniture and then by helping him in building the family home when they moved to Oakland, Oregon.
In her fifteenth year, Suzanne realized she had adoration for numerous genres of art. In college, she took many computer animation, advanced sculpture, advanced drawing, acrylic, airbrush, and watercolor classes but found that three dimensional arts was where her passion lie.
Aside for her passions in the arts, Ms. Noll’s admiration for animals and nature shows in every piece she sculpts, has one or both as an influence if not as the primary subject.
Suzanne currently resides in Manteca, California where her own home is filled with personal inspirations having many animals to care for, including strays that she feeds, as well as plant life that she hopes will welcome other wildlife to visit.
