On the afternoon of Tuesday, November 5, Master Jorge Mantilla Caballero, a distinguished artist from Santander, has been decorated with the highest order given by the presidency to patriots who serve the country, the Guillermo Ferguson Order of the Arts. In the words of Master Mantilla Caballero, this order has three basic conditions to be granted: first, that there be loyalty, efficiency and consecration to what one generates or understands as service to the country. But other ingredients are also needed: that the resume deserves, giving one's life totally in favor of artistic communication.
In her way of seeing the world, Mantilla Caballero describes her passion with the construction of new visions, commitment to culture, tradition, ancestral knowledge, memory and leaving a pacifying mark, because to think in peace it takes multiple actors seeing a common horizon, the spirit of art, which is nothing other than the communication of the times.
Egos generate friction, which through the arts can lead to spiritual tranquility, to an encounter with the sensitive being, who experiences and transcends. That is the mark that Mantilla Caballero, as a builder of his homeland through art, leaves impregnated in a society in constant transition. You need to become aware of your own world, live it and feel it, connect with nature, teach, transcend, leave a mark, signs of life, help, serve in an apostolate that builds a country.
