Artist Anatoliy Yovlev (1917-2000) - an outstanding Ukrainian graphic artist, honored artist of the USSR, also awarded the title of honored figure of the arts in Poland, and a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR.
Anatoliy Yovlev received his artistic education from renowned masters such as S.F. Spassky and P.I. Rumyantsev. During his work in a lithographic workshop, he mastered the skills of working with lithographic stone and etching board. Subsequently, he continued his education at the Moscow Polygraphic Institute.
Yovlev successfully worked in the field of easel and book graphics. From the 1950s to the 1970s, he illustrated and designed books for leading Kiev publishers, such as "Dnipro" "Radyansky Pysmennyk" and "Molod".
One of the significant moments in his creative career was the solo exhibition "A.M.Yovlev. 4th Ukrainian Front. Winter-Spring 1945" held in Kyiv in 1983. The exhibition featured etchings created from the artist's drawings in 1945.
Anatoliy Mykhailovych Yovlev held numerous solo exhibitions, and his graphic works participated in international exhibitions. His artistic contributions are recognized both in Ukraine and abroad.
Works by Anatoliy Yovlev are housed in numerous museum, gallery, and private collections both in Ukraine and abroad, including the National Art Museum of Ukraine.
